Weight Training

Weight training is a form of progressive resistance exercise. You can add weights, or take away weights, to reach the right amount of resistance you need for your current goal. Weight training can be done for different reasons, and there are many different training programs. Each program is based on individual needs, and should always be tailored just for you.

There are many different styles of weight lifting; some examples of people that lift weights are: Olympic lifters, power lifters, bodybuilders, athletes, physical therapy patients, physical fitness enthusiasts and recreational weight lifters. As you can see, weight lifting is not only for those who are competitive but also for those who just want to maintain a healthy lifestyle as well.

If you have a muscular system (and all of us humans do!) you can benefit from some form of regular progressive resistance exercise, a.k.a. weight training!
