Berry Salad

Here is a really yummy and simple dessert!

~2 cups blackberries (or raspberries)
~1/2 cantaloupe, cut into 1-inch pieces
~1 tbsp sweetener of choice (sugar, honey, agave, or maple syrup!)
~1 tsp grated peeled fresh ginger (a lil dash of curry is good too!)
~1/2 tsp lime zest, plus 1 tbsp of the juice (or lemon, either is good!)
~2 tbsp of thinly sliced fresh mint leaves

In a large bowl, combine all ingredients except mint, let stand a minimum of 30 mintutes or overnight; add mint just before serving!

*For all the local Tulsa, OK people! The blackberries from the Saturday morning Cherry Street Farmers Market vendor ‘Cabin Creek Berry Farm’ are the absolute best! In the past, they were the only ones that allowed you to sample their berries before you buy. They know what they are doing, because you get hooked! Yum-yum! By the time I’m out of the market for the morning, the container is about empty!
